My name is Shannon and I’m right-brained painter, photographer, and creative masquerading as a left-brained chemical and biological engineer and data analyst in New York.

I grew up living and learning across over 60 different countries across four different continents, and this portfolio is my attempt to tell the stories of my many travels and experiences.

My focus has been (and continues to be) inspired primarily by the natural world - no human subjects! The photos are all spontaneous moments of inspiration, showing a perspective that I found unique, vibrant, or simply beautiful. Each photo is enhanced by adding various layers of enhanced color saturation and contrast, bringing a story to life.

It's my hope that each image tells a story to the viewer, either by bringing a focus to the way in which different colors and contrasts blend or highlighting the way that light plays on our focus and perception.
